A supplier may describe an order as having a low minimum while requiring a substantial quantity of each product. Another may accept smaller quantities per product but require a larger overall invoice. These arrangements create different stock commitments, even if the phrase “minimum order” sounds similar.
Ask for three things separately: the minimum total order value, the minimum number of sellable units per SKU, and any brand or carton restrictions. Then ask how discounts, tax and freight affect the calculation. Put these answers next to your proposed product list before assessing affordability.
This is the amount an order must reach under the supplier’s stated calculation. A threshold before discounts is different from one after discounts. A threshold excluding GST is different from one including GST. Do not use the total MRP of the basket as a substitute for its wholesale order value.

Illustrative calculation, not a Zosmetics quotation: suppose a buyer selects ten SKUs, six units each. The order contains 60 sellable units. If the hypothetical tax-inclusive wholesale price were ₹600 per unit, the merchandise total would be ₹36,000. At ₹900 per unit, it would be ₹54,000. The same quantities can produce very different order values.
This example does not establish any product’s price or availability. It demonstrates why meeting a unit minimum does not necessarily meet a value minimum. Replace every example price with the actual quoted price for the selected pack.
If the basket only works by adding products you do not expect to sell, reconsider the timing or size of the order. A minimum is a transaction condition, not a sales forecast. Keep money available for packaging, operations and your next restock.
